ROLE OVERVIEWWe are looking for experienced Groundwork Handymen to join our teams on a busy project in Littlestone. You will be a skilled all-rounder capable across pipelaying, deep drainage, externals and external works, working within an established gang to deliver high-quality groundworks.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSetting up and using trench boxes, drag boxes, manhole boxes and pipe lasersLaying concrete, clay and plastic pipes (all sizes) to correct bed, surround and levelsEnsuring pipes are tested and laid correctly throughoutManaging groundwater and setting up the correct pump for the taskEnsuring correct backfilling of trenchesBenching of all manholesExternal works including kerbs, edgings, slabs and block pavingWorking safely around live services using correct service avoidance techniquesCarrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspectionsREQUIREMENTSCSCS Groundworker card or similar qualificationCPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper*Safety Critical Medical (site specific)CAT & Genny TrainingReliable, punctual and able to work well with other tradesRight to work in the UKDESIRABLECPCS / NPORS* Ride-On RollerAbrasive Wheels TrainingFace Fit CertificationHarness Awareness Certification5–10+ years of skilled groundworks experienceExperienced working gangs / teams highly sought afterConfined Space ticket* Please note: to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram.
